Butterfly Wing Azurite - Arizona, USA

Three-piece parcel of Butterfly Wing Azurite from the historic Bagdad Mine in Arizona. The material gets its name from the unusual blue patterning that can resemble the markings of a butterfly wing, with each piece showing a slightly different mix of deep blue and green-blue copper minerals.

This is old Arizona lapidary material and is not commonly available. It should be stabilized before cutting, as the material can be somewhat delicate
