Cambodian Blue Zircon
*Inclusions*
Ocean Blue Cambodian Zircons. These have some inclusions to deal with but clean stones are certainly possible. Mostly feathers and sometimes a cleavage plane has opened that needs to be trimmed away. Occasionally you may see a dull surface that is the result of the grinding wheel used to clean some of them up. Very good parcel for learning how to cut around inclusions or positioning inclusions in such a way as to not have them be a distraction
There is no naturally blue zircon found anywhere on earth. All blue zircon has been heated in an oxygen reduced environment to turn an often dark brown zircon blue. And not all zircons turn blue, only a couple locations like Nigeria, Vietnam and Mali mine a zircon that can be heated blue. Nigerian and Vietnam zircons heat to a pale blue while the Mali material has produced some desirable blues
