Mahenge Garnets
Welp, this is depressing- the last of my Peach and Pink Mahenge Garnets. Save for a small pocket that was hit about 6 months ago - and asking was around $800 gram for rough!- nothing of note has been found for the last 5 years. As mentioned above, when they do find the occasional stone, the prices are just silly. Luckily for my customers, when the deposit was running hot and heavy I traveled to Mahenge a few times and bought as much as my wallet would allow.
I'm sad to see these go but business is business....
