Haüyne and associated sodalite-group rough from Badakhshan, Afghanistan. Rich blue color ranging from deep royal blue to lighter blue and blue-gray, with varied fluorescence under UV.

Several pieces from the larger parcel were Raman tested as haüyne. Closely related sodalite-group minerals can occur together in this material, so untested pieces may also include sodalite, hackmanite, nosean or lazurite.
