Nuumite - Greenland

Nuummite from Greenland, one of the oldest gem materials on Earth at roughly 3 billion years old. Its dark body can show flashes of gold, blue and green as the stone moves in the light.

For lapidary work, stabilization is recommended before cutting. It helps support the material through sawing and polishing and gives the best chance of preserving those iridescent flashes in the finished piece
