These boxes are the result of an exhaustive search for the highest quality plastic gem boxes we could find.

We tested many boxes from Thailand and China, comparing the quality of the foam, the whiteness of the foam, the texture, and the overall construction.

The texture of the foam was especially important for close-in photography. Most boxes fell short in at least one area — usually the foam was off-white, too coarse, or simply looked poor in close-up photos.

We finally located these European-made boxes and could not be more pleased.

The foam is memory-type foam with a pure white top and a very smooth texture. These were the clear winner of our search
