This piece is part of a large update to the website of deep Royal Blue Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan ⁠⁠-Many of the pieces we are offering have sparkly golden pyrite - a favorite of mine

Overall, these represent about as good as lapis gets- this quality has been nearly impossible to source in recent years.  Shown wet to simulate polish

We're showing a couple of finished pieces we had made from this material and auctioned at Gemdragonauctions.com They're always a crowd favorite and achieve high prices 

This piece has some dark banding as seen in the photos. They look to be mostly pyrite banding but could also contain magnetite or biotite. The banding can add an interesting contrast to the blue lapis background or they can be trimmed away to make solid blue cabs.
