Starting last year before Tucson, Umba Sapphires starting appearing in the bush at a rate not seen in many years. At first it was just a trickle but then they really started coming out-there had been a major find and suddenly Umba Sapphires were widely available.
It looks like things are slowing down and so we are very grateful to have been able to stock up.
From the pure purples to the bright blues and subtle pinks, the colors of Umba Sapphires are just remarkable - They do however almost always have fine needles that must be considered. The trick is to find pieces with enough saturation - without being overly saturated - to mask them. At any rate, Umba Sapphires cut gorgeous gems and are reasonably priced option for Sapphires.
