Umba Garnet

Garnets can be complicated because there are so many made-up names. Garnets are often named after the location where they are found. In this case, the Umba River in the Umba Valley of Tanzania! They are a mixture of pyrope and spessartite and cut a gorgeous orange-red garnet.
